RAMH Causeway Adult Counselling
RAMH Adult Counselling Service was established in 1994.
We work together with other RAMH projects and external agencies
to support adults experiencing difficulties in their mental
health.
We offer accessible, confidential counselling in places
that are easy to get to like health and community centres.
What do we do?
We provide a very personal service that is about you and
where you are at in your life. We work flexibly with you
to support and help you towards recovery in from mental health
difficulties. These can be can be short term difficulties
or a longer term illness.
How can I access counselling from RAMH Causeway?
You can get in touch with us on our direct number below and a counsellor will be touch to discuss setting up an intial assessment as soon as one is available. This is an initial consultation with a qualified counsellor. This will give you space to talk openly about your concerns without judgement and look at what might help.
Other people can also get in touch with the Counselling
Service for you. This can be your GP, Psychiatric nurse,
family or any other supportive agency.
Our service is available to adults aged 16 to 65 living in Renfrewshire
or East Renfrewshire.
Our Staff Team
Our team comprises of full and part-time professionally
qualified counselors together with a small number of trained
volunteers.
Fiona Rae Senior Counselling Practitioner
Bsc (Hons) (Applied Psychology), PgDip (Counselling and Health).
Fiona has worked in the field of mental health for over 10 years and has been a qualified counselor for 5years. She was an accredited alcohol counselor with Glasgow Council for Alcohol and specialises in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, bereavement and trauma. She is also National Trainer of ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
Yvonne Scott Counsellor
PgDip (Person Centred Counselling)
Yvonne has worked with the RAMH counselling team since 2002. She has a postgraduate diploma in person centred counselling from Strathclyde University. She has experience of working with a range of problems from stress, bereavement, anxiety and depression to trauma and survivors of childhood neglect and/or abuse.
Carole Neill Counsellor and Volunteer Supervisor Pg Dip (Counselling and Health), Certificate in Supervision (Cosca).
Has worked in the field of mental health for 8 years. Specialises in working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, trauma, interpersonal relationship issues and holds strong belief in the ability of the individual to learn to access and build on their own resourses to improve the quality of their day to day functioning. Assists the senior practitioner in daily delivery of the service and supervises volunteers and students on placement.
Phyllis Wood Counsellor
Pg Dip (Person Centred Counselling)
Phyllis has worked with the RAMH Counselling Team since 2007. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from Strathclyde University.
As well as working in the field of Mental Health where she has experience of working with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, abuse and loss and change, she has also worked for a large generic counselling organisation.
