What is Brighter Futures Peer Mentoring?
Mentoring is a one to one relationship based upon trust, confidentiality and mutual involvement. Mentoring works particularly well with people who are at risk of exclusion from society and as part of voluntary and community schemes helping people to play a full part in their communities.
What does a Peer Mentor do?
A Brighter Futures volunteer will be able to use the skills and experience they have built up during their lifetime to help an older person become less isolated and enhance their mental health and well-being.
